Photowalk Recap: Behind Rockbund

Last Sunday afternoon, twelve of us met at the Rockbund entrance and spent two hours walking through the lanes and courtyards behind one of Shanghai's most architecturally rich areas.

The light was good. The pace was slow. People stopped to photograph things they'd walked past a hundred times without noticing — a rusted gate, a staircase disappearing into shadow, the way the old buildings stack against the newer ones behind them.

We ended at a nearby café, where the conversation kept going for another hour.

This is what we're trying to build with Eudaimonia: not just events, but reasons to slow down and look at the city differently.
